Meet our Director: Supporting your decisions
Hello, I'm Michelle Silberman, your lead consultant at ICan Autism Support. My approach is grounded in neurodiversity-affirming practice, which means I view neurodiversity not as something to be 'fixed', but as a valuable way of experiencing the world. I believe in building your capacity and the capacity of your environment to support you, while protecting your human rights to make your own choices. I work collaboratively with you to identify your unique strengths and practical skills that will help you live more autonomously and lead a fulfilling life.
Michelle Silberman is a Master's level, university-qualified Developmental Educator with dedicated postgraduate qualifications in neurodiversity and autism. One of a small number of DEAI registered, specifically disability-trained, allied health professionals in Australia. Based on the Central Coast and with more than 15 years' lived experience, Michelle provides grounded support that understands the specific challenges and opportunities.​​ Committed to human rights-based and neurodiversity-affirming support. Our Story
ICan Autism Support began with a simple realisation that once leaving school, support often drops off for neurodivergent people, even while transitions, changes and expectation increase. Neurodivergent people and particularly autistic adults deserve support and assistance that doesn’t ask them to change who they are to fit into the world. Â

Founded by a dedicated consultant with both professional expertise and lived experience, our service is built on the belief that autism is a natural part of human diversity, not a problem to be fixed.
We saw a gap in the NDIS landscape—a need for practical, age-appropriate, and respectful capacity building. Our journey started in the heart of the Central Coast, driven by the goal of helping people navigate the complexities of daily living while honouring their unique sensory needs and communication styles.
Today, as passionate Developmental Educators collaborating with Neuronexus Psychology and networked with highly expert autism consultants, we provide services where autistic voices are heard.
